The Re-Birth Of The Ex-Detox System

“detox (noun) – to undergo treatment to rid the body of poisonous substances”

When I first started to coach people how to get over their Ex in 2005, just a few years after my own life-changing experience, I realized that the biggest challenge was to convince them about the importance of “No-Contact”. Because let’s face it: you will pretty much have to rip your Ex from your heart, and pretend they never existed for a predefined time period of 60 days.

A thought like that is very frightening.

But I firmly believed in that concept because it worked so well on myself. I knew that the “No-Contact Rule” was the only way to break the Ex-Addiction, and to ultimately get over them.

So what I did back then, was create a small document that described all the benefits of “No-Contact”; the main (false) limiting beliefs causing people to think they could never do it; and THE 7 main obstacles while following the “No-Contact Rule”.

When someone came to me for personal one-on-one coaching, I would hand them the small document as preparation for our work together.

And this really worked like a charm.

People would read it and discover all the things they would be facing during the time of No-Contact and the best way to react to it. They got motivated, educated about the topic – eager and confident to stick it out.

It made the coaching a lot easier, and shortened the overall healing time many times over because there were less fallbacks.  If you understand what’s lurking behind the next corner you can prepare yourself.

Throughout the years that followed, this small document grew. I’ve added many experiences and feedback from other coaching clients.  Reading their comments and stories made it even simpler to connect to the concept and believe in the idea.

Now, I’ve been asked countless times over the years since I founded this website to publish and make this document available so that more people could benefit from it. And I have to admit that I was always reluctant to the idea, since I thought it wouldn’t be fair to the clients who paid for the coachings.

But there was one thing that changed my mind.

As you all know, we have several “No-Contact Help Threads” on this website, where people can share their problems with “No Contact”, ask questions, and help each other to get through the 60 days. And these threads have EXPLODED over the last year, (we have 12420 comments in total while I’m writing this).

I knew that maintaining No-Contact was extremely difficult, but I was very surprised at how many of you participated and shared your problems and frustrations. Maintaining the “No Contact Rule” is really something people need a lot of help and guidance with.

So I decided to throw my concerns out of the window and share my 7 years worth of knowledge in a book.

I took that small book I gave to my clients and rewrote it, expanded it – adding things here and there – and before I knew it, the book was 173 pages long, covering my complete break-up recovery system that I’ve been using since 2005.

I call it “The Ex-Detox System”.

The Ex-Detox System consists of two main components:

  • a proven and field-tested, step-by-step ebook on how to get over your Ex super-fast in 3 steps
  • a secret component that basically promotes break-up recovery on autopilot, (watch my video to learn what that secret component is).

It took some time to write the ebook because I wanted it done right, and I am more than happy with how it turned out.  I think that it will really make a difference and help a lot of people to get over their exes.

Your friend,
Eddie Corbano

P.S.: I apologize in advance if I self-advertise too much, but I am new to this – and I am really proud of the Ex-Detox System.

    Hi Elizabeth,

Yes, you can make this system work for you.

There is one entire chapter dedicated to this problem how to maintain no contact when you still have to see the Ex (because of kids or because they are co-workers): “Obstacle 2: The Ex Is Still Around”. There are certain rules you can follow to protect yourself even IF you have to still talk to them.

But the system isn’t just all about no contact. After you’ve made it through the 60 days of NC the re-building starts, the “Emotional Ex-Detox” as I call it, where you basically re-build yourself from the ground up and “bulletproof” your heart from future break-ups… and after that there’s the third step: “Re-Opening – A Leap Into A New Life”…

So the system isn’t just for fresh break-ups but also for those who feel stuck and have difficulties to move on.

Hey… about three weeks ago my ex boyfriend decided it was best to end our relationship. I was devastated of course considering women don’t take breakups lightly if your the one being dumped and also I spent three years with him day and night. It was hard to let that go and I was denying our breakup. I was thinking hell come back….right? Anyways, I like the whole detox idea but I think the best way to start the process is to go ahead and cry, talk to a trusted friend and tell them how how you feel…. eventually you’ll get tired of crying. I did. After, I made a list of the things I needed to do for myself throughout the 60 days that I didn’t do when I was with him simply because he was a destraction. So what I did to get rid pf these distractions is turn off my phone and had my friend hide it for Ms until the 60 days are over. So far I’m using email to contact people… I’m not on facebook… in other words, I fell off the face of the earth. And to be honest… I feel better than what I did 3 weeks ago.

I purchased this when it first came out! I cannot begin to tell you what a huge difference this system has made! I listen to the meditation audio every night before I go to bed! It is amazing how relaxed and at peace I feel after listening to it! Sometimes I fall asleep as I’m listening to it! This coming from someone who had trouble falling asleep at night! The book has transformed me and given me the hope and tools needed to finally let go and become that independent loving person that I know I am! The truth hurts but you must face it! I decided that I was finally going to get over my ex once and for all and work on myself! It’s been 3 months since the breakup and before I bought Eddies system I felt like I had come to a stand still! Not being able to move forward! Still missing and wanting my ex back! Our hearts at this point are our worst enemies! Hope is an enemy when it comes to your ex! Once I started reading it and following it, something inside me snapped and at that moment I realized that I was going to take my life back! And once and for all take my power and heart back! My ex was in my past! And I was moving forward to my amazing future!
One where I will find the man that truly deserves my love and heart! Because He knows what a rare prize he has!

I have just purchased the book and audio. The audio did not work at the first time. I didn’t feel any relaxation, any alfa-level or so. My mind was just working regularly and all I was thinking about was my Ex… What should I do??

    • Eddie Corbano August 10, 2012 at 8:45 pm #

      Hi Maya,

You need to listen to it a few times more.

After a few times listening your brain will adjust and your inner resistance will weaken, then the audio will work at its full potential.

Inner resistance is completely normal at the beginning.

Try to listen to it before bedtime or immediately after waking up, this is usually the time when we are most receptive for subliminal messages.

Hi Eddie, i had a small ques people who suffer from separation anxiety or BPD ( BORDERLINE PERSONALITY Disorder) do u think they can ever be in a health relationship and be happy ever or it will b always a mental stress for them

    • Eddie Corbano August 18, 2012 at 8:37 pm #

This is very difficult to answer, I have very little experience with BPD. A good friend of mine tried very hard for 2 years to be in a “normal” relationship with someone who was diagnosed BPD.

Eventually he gave up. He said that it was like fighting with windmills.

IF it is possible, then it must be very difficult and challenging…

I am loving the ex detox audio also. I was dealing with my first 20 days of no contact then I started having some real work difficulties. It has helped me relax and take down my stress levels enough to keep going through this all around rough patch in life. I would almost go so far as to say it has helped keep me out of a psych ward -I had never in my life experienced this level of depression and anxiety with the changes I have had in my life in the last few months. I’ve been through break-ups, (even used this site 4 yrs ago with my last break-up, so I knew I could get through this one too) but the most significant and unexpected benefit was the relief I got from the work issues. Thank you for creating such a needed document and amazing relaxation tool -you have truely found your calling.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I am very happy that I could be of help and that I made a positive difference in your life.

Hang in there, and I am here if you need me.

I really believe in what you say, having no
contact will make us preserve our dignity as a person. Imagine giving yourself
to anyone then breaking up with him or her. This sounds painful and will make
us hard to forget. It is intelligent to have no contact at all so if ever the
relationship doesn’t work at least we have the guts to face the person.

I love this system. I recently got it and it’s made a huge difference. Every time I feel sad or I can’t stop thinking about the ex, I play the audio and the cycle stops.

    Hi Eddie

I have recently broken up with my b/f of almost 2 years. And i was following the NC rule when all of a sudden he called me up a few days ago and asked me out for a movie. And like a stupid person i agreed. Now, he is not picking up my calls since yesterday. I feel devastated again!!!

  10. Gin April 14, 2014 at 2:49 am #

Can I listen to the audio without head phones. I just purchased it. Thank you

    • Eddie Corbano April 14, 2014 at 6:08 pm #

      Hi Gin,

Yes of course, but using headphones is recommended to maximize the subliminal effect.

You just cannot break No Contact, ever. I have not as much as I wanted to. To just say something that would never change how she did me. BUT if I ever did, now the ball is her court inviting a reply that could be even more devastating than my present suffering. Just imagine a reply asking me politely to never contact her again because she is in a serious relationship now. Is that worth breaking NC ? Better not knowing and moving forward somehow.
